In obedience to our Lord Jesus to go out into the world and preach and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ (Matt. 28:19-20), we at RCM (a
member church of COGOP--Eastern Canada) recognise the signs of the times and the prevalence of many who are doubting openly the
existence of God. We also observe the ungodly values adopted by many in authorities and which have be established in the hearts of our
legal and educational systems. We acknowledge that even our children in school, as early as 9 years old, are faced with challenges to
their training and Christian teachings. Church size does not matter, for it is the duty of every Christian to respond appropriately. We have.
To ensure that our Christian Education programme, along with its aim is to build up believers in a closer walk with Jesus Christ and to
nurture and aid in their spiritual growth, we must address the obstacles of a Postmodern world. Scripture says, "Who is going to harm
you if you are eager to do good? But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. 'Do not fear what they fear;
do not be frightened.' But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who
asks you to give reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect..." (1 Pet. 3:13-15).
Therefore in all our Christian Education efforts, we teach apologetics. We teach both the adults and our 9 year olds. Each must know the
reasons for his or her hope in Jesus Christ. Each must learn to answer with confidence, "why they are Christians?"
